When SRT to LRC makes sense
You have timed text — a lyric video's subtitle track, a karaoke SRT, a translated song — and you want it as lyrics that scroll in a music player, a car head unit or a lyrics app. LRC is the format all of those read, and the line timing you already have in the SRT converts across directly.
What changes in the file
Each cue becomes a [mm:ss.xx] line. Two things are worth knowing: LRC has no end times, so when each SRT cue ends is dropped (lines simply run until the next one), and LRC lines are single-line, so multi-line cues are joined with a space. Timing precision is centiseconds, plenty for lyrics.
Adding song metadata
